SAN ANTONIO -- Flames consumed a family's home on the West Side Wednesday morning.
Fire crews were called to a home in the 400 block of Cordelia shortly before 8:00 a.m. Wednesday. Two brothers who were inside the home said a neighbor began banging on the door after she spotted the fire. The brothers managed to escape into the backyard.
When firefighters arrived, the front of the home was fully engulfed in flames. Damage estimates were set at around $30,000.
The brothers described the house as their childhood home and said their grandparents purchased it more than 50 years ago.
The fire also damaged the side of a neighboring home.
No injuries were reported.
