CARRIZO SPRINGS, Texas -- A 27-year-old man was shot by Border Patrol agents Monday morning. He’s now recovering at a San Antonio hospital after being flown in from a Carrizo Springs hospital.
Carrizo Springs is just over 100 miles to the southwest of San Antonio.
News 4 WOAI has been told Border Patrol agents stopped the man and ran his information. After agents tried to arrest him, he resisted. That's when he was shot at least one time.
No word yet on whether he physically fought the agents or just drove away from them.
The 27-year-old drove himself to the Carrizo Springs medical facility. He was then taken by air to San Antonio with critical injuries.
