SAN ANTONIO- It was a long night for shoppers on the hunt for a bargain. With black Friday specials starting as early as 8 o’clock Thursday night and going through the early morning hours of Friday morning, there were plenty of options for shoppers to find the best deal.
Many lined up for days at Best Buy on the Northside for the past few days even if it meant sleeping in the most unusual places and that included the sidewalk.
As the shoppers neared the finish line to get their big screen TV’s and other electronic goods Eric Vargas said it was worth it to have stood in line since Tuesday.
He said, “Yeah Tuesday, you know I spent countless hours sleeping on an inflatable bed that was uncomfortable”.
While Hannah Vanwinkle missed out from getting a ticket for a 40- inch Toshiba she already had another game plan in place as she stood in line early Friday morning.
“Well I wanted the TV but I was about ten people too shy of it so I’m going to get a blue ray player, the lap top, and I think the 50-inch instead,” said Hannah Vanwinkle.
And speaking of a game plan Brittany Taylor may have come up with the best plan of all. In fact she called it playing it smart as she waited in the parking lot in the comfort of her car.
“We have three people, three guys in line for us,” said Brittany Taylor.
Black Friday started very early with door buster deals to get shoppers through the door. But, merchants said there is still time to head out for deals that continue throughout Friday evening and the weekend.
