Allow me to play devil's advocate here. First of all, WHY are you getting towed? Did you park in a no parking area, do you have unpaid parking tickets, did you park in a handicapped spot to "run in and grab a couple of things" real quick? I'm all for saving money BUT I'm also all for making those who cheat and take short cuts pay with some kind of consequences. I think far too many people take shortcuts like these NEVER imagining it will be their care and then voila, they're TOWED! Hey, you don't have to agree or like it but it's the truth.

So in the end they will be innocent lambs and they will go back to abuse the drivers of San Antonio. Once they take your car they know you are in a pickle, and you will do whatever it takes to get your conveyance back, since it's probably how you get to your workplace to start with. So they come up with phantom charges that you better pay, or else. That behavior is criminal, and the justice system should punish it, not reward it.

Its a shame he was found not guilty. The tow companies have been getting away with murder for years here in San Antonio. I was thrilled when I heard they were finally being held accoutable for their unscrupulous actions. A few years ago my friends car was getting towed. The bastards charged over $200 to unhook the freaking car when we went to leave the club. Then the witch that was doing the paperwork refused to give a receipt for the outrageous fee they charged. Thats criminal. Tow truck companies only get away with charging like that because they have a captive audience.
