SAN ANTONIO -- Police are searching for a man they say stole a pack of beer at an HEB store and then pulled a gun on an employee who tried to stop him.

The robbery happened shortly after 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24th at the HEB store located at 3323 SE Military Drive. Investigators say the man walked into the store, picked up a 24-pack of of Bud Light Beer, and then ran out. When an employee followed him, police say the man pulled a gun and pointed it at the employee to get him to back off.

If you recognize the suspect, please immediately contact Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP (7867), submit a tip online, or text a tip by texting "Tip 127 plus your tip" to CRIMES (274637).

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000.00 for information that leads to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for this crime.

Doesn't seem like the suspect was running after grabbing the beer. Hmmm makes me wonder.

How stupid is this guy really is. Prison for a pack of beer. Hope he enjoys it. Will be the last beer he gets until he gets out of prison for armed robbery.

HEB needs to hire gun carrying officers to just shoot pieces of trash like this in the parking lot.

After the employee got a gun pulled on him, should have asked the thief if he needed carry out help to the vehicle. It's not worth it and HEB should tell it's employee's to back off before getting shot at.
