CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A man who spent $300 to buy crack cocaine apparently had a change of mind and called police after smoking more than half his purchase.

The Cleveland Sun News reports police in Cleveland Heights received a call from the man who said he had about $100 worth of the drug remaining and he wanted to turn it in to police.

Officers reportedly took the man - with his consent - to a hospital to undergo a psychiatric evaluation. There was no word on whether the man would face criminal charges or if any more arrests in connection with the case were imminent.
