SEGUIN, Texas - Seguin Police are warning parents after an attempted abduction near a school Tuesday morning.

A 12-year-old girl was walking to school at about 7:30 a.m. when investigators say a man tried to lure her into his car with money.  She ran away to the Saegert Sixth Grade Center for help and administrators called police.

The girl had seen the same car circling the area last month and neighbors say this isn't the first scary incident there.

"This black Mustang with dark, dark windows pulled up and stopped next to us and then it kept going," 8th-grader Jennifer Macias said.  "It turned by the cafeteria, behind it. We got up right away and started to run. I turned around, it was chasing us. It was following us."

Macias and her friends were not hurt but she doesn't stray far from her house now and sticks together with her family members.

Police say the vehicle involved in Tuesday's incident was possibly a black, four door Dodge Stratus with silver or chrome rims.  The driver is described as a thin Hispanic male with spiky hair.

If you have any information about the incident, call Seguin Police at (830) 401-2360.
