News 4 WOAI is looking for a creative, driven, self-motivated and aggressive person to fill the position of part-time Associate Producer in our News Department. Candidate should be a good writer, with an eye and ear for what people care about in local TV news, and be able to handle multiple responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Write compelling copy for our newscasts
- Produce newscasts & cut-ins on a fill-in basis
- Assist with special projects and events as needed
- Handle beat checks
- Knowledge of editing systems (linear and non-linear) a plus
- Knowledge of ENPS newsroom system a plus
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: - Position requires qualified applicants to have at least one year of producing experience.
- A degree in a Communications-related field is preferred, but not a requirement.
