SAN ANTONIO - An arson investigation is underway after 27 fire units were called out to fight a house fire on the South Side.

Fire crews were called out around 1am Tuesday morning to a 2-story house on Compton Street near Southcross and South Flores.

The house, which was converted into four apartments, caught fire on the second floor. The roof collapsed and destroyed the top two apartments. The first floor suffered water and smoke damage.

A woman was taken to Baptist Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say the fire caused about $75,000 worth of damages.
