SAN ANTONIO- Arson investigators have stepped in to find a cause for a fire that claimed a house on the northwest side. The flames ignited around four o’clock Sunday morning at a two story home on the 7300 block of Rocky Cedar Road.

Fire officials say t started on the second floor and spread up the walls into the attic. At times flames could be scene shooting straight up into the sky

Residents are shocked to learn of the fire especially since nobody was living there and the homeowner was out of town.

“My friend called me this morning, lives next door to me and said hey did you here that her house caught on fire last night. I was like what. Is it like burned down, and she said yeah it's pretty totaled,” explained Heather Kay, a nearby resident.

According to fire officials the home was being foreclosed. No one was hurt but the fire caused about 120,000 dollars in damage.
