SAN ANTONIO - A local Boy Scout troop can breathe a sigh of relief after a man is arrested for stealing their property.

Police nabbed the 29-year-old suspect after they responded to a Crime Stoppers tip. They recovered the trailer and a vast majority of the equipment.

He was being led away in handcuffs when he was asked if he realized he was stealing from Boy Scouts.

“I did,” he responded.

Then he was asked if he wanted to say sorry to the scouts.

“Yeah – I will when I see them,” he responded.

He's accused of stealing a trailer from Troop 517 last Wednesday at Community Bible Church that was full of camping equipment. The man faces felony theft charges.

At least someone around him has a conscience and did the right thing by reporting to Crimestoppers.

I hope they make him leave the shirt on while he's in jail...
