SAN ANTONIO -- The Young Vision Outreach Center church is trying to look for resources to get a new church bus.

One of their buses that was parked outside the church located on the 700 block of Denver street was set on fire Monday afternoon. "The windows were busting out, I saw smoke through the whole sky, " said neighbor Tommy Perez.

Perez recorded the fire with his cell phone. The church wasn't in session when the fire broke out.

"It saddens my heart to see, " said Pastor Joe Anquiano.

Pastor Anquiano says his church relies on their buses to bring more than 150 children to and from church every Sunday morning and Wednesday evening.

"To help them, to better them, to show them life skills and teach them the word of God, " added Anquiano.

The pastor says he will find a way to get the children to church.

"It was crazy to hear that somebody burned our bus, I wouldn't know why they would do that because it's a church, " said church member Konstance Dyer.

The San Antonio Fire Department is investigating several suspicious fires on the East side.

If you know anything about these fires you can all the Arson hotline at (210) 227-FIRE.
