SAN ANTONIO – After months of delays and financial troubles for the contractor in charge, two new Northeast ISD schools will finally open to students Monday.
There was an open house for families at Las Lomas and Vineyard Ranch Elementary Schools Sunday.
The campuses were originally supposed to be completed last summer.
Students like second grader Elise Disrud are excited they finally get to attend their new school.
“Well, I like how it's built and I like the library a lot!” little Elise told News 4 WOAI.
Parents and students seemed impressed.
They had to wait for the schools to be finished because Summit builders ran into financial problems and the work had to be completed by its bonding company.
