ATM thieves get away with...nothing

SAN ANTONIO -- Police are crediting a good Samaritan for being in the right place at the right time to stop a crime in progress.

Investigators say thieves tried prying open a panel on an ATM at the Firstmark Credit Union near Loop 1604 and Gold Canyon on the North Side. A witness spotted them just before 3:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Police suspect the thieves got spooked and drove off after the witness noticed what they were doing.

if it's possible, try to get that License Plate number if you can see it when witnessing a crime. Those guys may try again
