I cannot think of anyone else in the community that would be doing the laundry in the back yard. She was a prayerful woman, full of advice to get rid of the darker elements in society, and determined to protect her dogs that as I remember had dental problems, as if she neglected to brush their teeth because she was too busy shooting at people wandering the streets that did not KNOW the Lord Jesus and his father, GOD. As I recall she fed her dogs armadillos and insulin and had some sort of affliction that required sitting on the divan in prayer. I am reminded of Van Cliburn, and wonder at this moment if he was really Dodie Lee. It makes a lot of sense, if you think about all the posts.

Why was she doing laundry in her back yard? I thought people did laundry in their washing machines, the laundry mat, or at the creek. When did that change?
