SAN ANTONIO-A young firefighter who died in the line of duty was honored today with a fire truck dedicated in his honor.

Alex White was 18 years old when he died in December of an asthma attack.

He was at his grandmother's house when he suffered the attack but because he had helped battle a fire within 24 hours of the asthma attack it was considered; a line of duty death.

His mother, Jackie Moore, today shared how much today's dedication means to her and the rest of the family.

"My son gets that truck that he's loved and has been working on.  He wouldn't have it any other way." Said Moore.

Alex was a junior at Canyon Lake High School and was a volunteer firefighter at South Bexar Fire and Rescue.

Both of of White's parents are firefighters.
