SAN ANTONIO - Getting fit and staying healthy is a standard New Years Resolution for many, but one 93-year-old yoga instructor is an inspiration to several generations of her students. News 4 WOAI's Lauren Lea went to her class.
Click here to watch the story…At an age where many people have a difficult time getting around, Esther Vexler is teaching others how to live a healthy life. She’s been practicing yoga for almost six decades, and teaching for 42 years. She has a loyal following at the Synergy Studio at Pearl.
She was the first baby born in San Antonio in 1918, and she believes yoga's helped extend her life, “The only conflict I have is my husband. He’s 96, and still drives himself to work. He doesn't do yoga."
Vexler said yoga reminds you about the joys of life, not the burdens.
She has no plans to retire anytime soon. “As long as the students come, I'll keep teaching,” says Vexler.
