you're right pre...there was nothing in this story about whether or not there was an intersection involved. however, i decided i would make a point about many people i see over on fred rd. crossing where there is in fact no intersection, oontrolled light, crosswalk...only open road. i was venting because just the other day someone darted out in the middle of the road and stopped in the turn lane and, if i wasn't such a good driver who pays attention, i would have hit him. THAT was my point, and it was to compliment this story...the location, the incident. i will however, apologize for my attitude yesterday, was not having a good day and was taking it out in the form of being a complete smarta**. and yes, i do feel bad for this lady's family and this was a tragedy. and never did i refer to HER as one of the idiots i see on fred rd crossing where they shouldn't be.

Okay, an electric wheelchair and a 90 year old lady trying to cross the road at 7:00 AM, when it's still dark, and at the top of a hill that would be a limited vision situation, is a disaster waiting to happen, with or without a crosswalk (which this site doesn't have, according to what I've read). This is a tragedy, and the driver that hit the little old lady will have nightmares about this for the rest of her life, even tho she wasn't responsible for the accident and death of this woman. Condolences to the woman's family, and prayers that the driver can accept that this wasn't anything that she could have avoided or changed.

Well, secure1, you should quit worrying about your pretty truck and pay more attention to those "dumba$$e$" that might muck it up if you don't avoid them. You are straying pretty far off the subject, though . . . there is absolutely nothing in the news about the 90 year old woman crossing the road illegally, now is there?

and you're right...babes IS CLOSE to the intersection you moron...but NOT AT the intersection.

Unfortunately for his observations Krav Maga gym sits on Crossroads Blvd, not Fredericksburg and Krav Maga, the money box and "the chicken place ("Church's") are adjacent to the intersection of Crossroads Blvd and Fredericksburg Rd . . . a signal controlled intersection with a crosswalk. Luby's is adjacent to Hillcres, another signal controlled intersection with a crosswalk and Babe's is a hamburger joint very close to the signal controlled intersection of Fredericksburg Rd and Crossroads Blvd. The area is a highly trafficked area by both vehicles and pedestrians, and :Secure1" seems more concerned about his "pretty truck" and less concerned about being a careful and cautious driver. You write as if you are in a hurry and as you write about driving you appear, also to be in a hurry as well.

i'd like to see some statistical comparisons on the pedestrian/vehicle accidents in this town and see where they are happening the most... anyone wanna do that research? :) do it for one year and let's see results

i'm just stating the obvious, and venting because i don't want your dumba** who can't cross at a damn cross walk all over the front of my pretty truck! cross walks and intersections are there for a reason, and drivers expect pedestrians to be crossing there...not in the middle of the gdamn road standing in a turn lane. they also have J-walking laws in which someone NOT crossing at an intersection or designated cross walk can be ticketed. it's just not enforced...but maybe it should be :) #insensitivetodumbasses
