SAN ANTONIO - There have been seven suspicious fires on the East Side in the last two months. Monday night’s house fire on the 400 block of Yucca is the most recent.

Fire officials say they were all deliberately set in vacant homes and structures. Investigators are still working to determine who is responsible and whether all the fires are related.

People living in the area are on edge and fear what might be next.

"I’m worried because you never know if it's going to be your house next," said resident Ashley Lesley.

Fire investigators have not determined if the fire at Childress Memorial Church over the weekend was deliberately set.

Fire officials are asking people with any information or who spot suspicious activity to call the arson hotline at (210) 227-FIRE.
