HONDO, TX -- The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested 30 state felony offenders in a sting called, "Operation Kestrel."

The operation brought law enforcement together from 60 different agencies to find the fugitives accused of committing several crimes. According to Robert Almonte, with the U.S. Marshals Service, the fugitives are considered the worst of the worst. He stated officers were assisting law enforcement in the small town that does where criminals might think their activities go unnoticed.

"They have the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force to help and we will continue to do that," Almonte said.

The task force did not get all of the people they went after, serving 30 of the 55 arrest warrants. The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is hoping people in the area feel a bit safer after the arrests and ask for the public's help to find other fugitives. The number to call is 210-655-8477.
