SAN ANTONIO -- Three teenagers were injured when the car they were in crashed on the Far North Side.

Police say the teens in a 2009 Toyota Scion P2 were traveling west in the 2400 block of Evans Road around 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, when the car hit a curb. A report states the driver overcorrected, and the car swerved across the lanes and into the curb on the other side. The car then spun sideways, flipped over and "appeared to go airborne" before landing upside down in the center median.

The 17-year-old passenger was taken to University Hospital with serious injuries. The driver, 18-year-old Brandon Mathew Roque, and a 16-year-old passenger were taken to North Central Baptist with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Mistakes happen. Leave them alone. I love one of the passengers, who is in the hospital now, by the way.

Written just a few days ago, on Brandon Roque's Facebook page, somebody writes to him "you almost always kill us when you are driving with your horrible racing skills". Is this chilling or what?

Probably from that same part of town, thus the compassionate comments.

17 year olds should NOT be allowed to drive. Should be 18+

This is horribly sad. I have teens and it scares me every time they get in the car. Yeah, these kids were probably supposed to be in school, and I pray that they were not high. I hope they recover quickly.
