Sounds like torture to me,and torture is torture regardless of the person's guilt or innocence. Would you willingly submit yourself to such "questioning," and as a Christian how can you condone torture knowing how our Savior Himself was tortured before he was crucified?

Mascotmom,no one ever said that everyone who lives on the Southside is an illegal alien, but we all know that a lot of illegal aliens live down there, and just about everyone knows some illegal aliens. Those people who have characteristics that resemble those of illegal aliens, or those who might know some illegal aliens need to be detained and questioned with whatever amount of force is needed, for however long it takes. Now, from what I can tell, there are a few people here who steal and will say just about anything to justify it. Again, stealing is a deliberate sin against the Lord who died on a cross for us. If you do it, you're going to hell. there's no making it right. Stealing is wrong. Period. Also, it's a sin and an abomination against God and Jesus to question a Christian. If you're against a Christian, you're against God and Jesus. There shall be no saving your soul from the lake of fire once Jesus burns you up in hell.

Also you talk about the commandments and the things that are sins against our lord, well you know God also does not appreciate people who "in his name" speak ill of others. you are a Christian woman haven't you ever heard that which you do to the least of my brothers you do unto me.. maybe instead of putting people and their cultures down you should be praying that God will cleanse your spotted heart and give you grace and mercy..

Also, I'd like to know if these guys were stealing food to re-sell it and buy drugs and booze, or they were trying to feed their wives and kids. If they wanted the food for their families, then that itself is a clear commentary on the state of the nation, where a few hold all the billions (by divine mandate, they swear) and the majority hold their pants to prevent them from falling to the ground, so skinny are they getting out of hunger. What's wrong with that picture?

DixieDoll: Asking someone if they realize how many people ARE working for a living while they're at home in bed is picking a fight. Why? Because it's argumentative, sarcastic and condescending.
