Well, @joeone, you’re welcome, and you and I may have similar roots, and want what’s best for our country, but your ethnic make-up does not necessarily preclude you from being a bigot or racist. I refer to your screaming slam (all caps in text-speak is screaming) in which you refer to @Geko, @bavens and @marfens as racists and bigots, based purely on their family name. Being a racist or bigot is not exclusive to any race or ethnicity but rather is based on (and proven by) your behavior and verbiage. I believe absolutely in obeying ALL of the laws of our land, and working to change any I don’t agree with. I believe in The Constitution of the United States, and will support it above all.

DONOHO- Thank you, but, of course the President refers to himself as a black man. When he looks in the mirror, he sees what he is and accepts what he is. It's the rest of the world dont seem to accept what he is and who he is. And let's talk about ancestry.It seems you and I have something in common. Half of my family was on these lands centuries before even when this country was still a glacier. As a matter of fact, they watched the other half of my family being dragged off ships in chains. So me? Bigot,racist? I think not. And if we dont hear about Canadians coming here illegally, it's probably because we dont live in that part of the country. I am sure it happens. So taking cheap swipes at each other is tacky, labeling entire cultures is plain wrong. And as an observation, through all what you and I have said, isnt it fair and safe to say that we both seem to want what's best for our country? For our government to protect our borders and for folks who want to come here to do it the right way?

The only thing I will say is that he does have one auntie & one uncle that may or may not want to be US citizens, but they certainly do like living here illegally, and on our dime. I, too, can trace my ancestry back to Native Americans & Daniel Boone, one each side. And, I'm 100% Texan, born & bred. I'm a PROUD American & Texan.

I’ve got news for you, @joeone…the President’s father never was a US Citizen and he has scads of aunties and uncles on that side who are not and don’t wish to be US citizens. You must be talking about his MOTHER’S side of his family…which he denigrates and disparages. He never refers to himself as half white, does he? BONJUR, you have some small but interesting points, but are you referring only about the Hispanics? It sounds as if you are saying that they are the only ones who come over here illegally and drain our economy and corrupt out society. And if history serves us correctly, folks have been coming over to our country illegally long before the President's grandparents were born. It is just sad and unfortunate that when ever someone mentions illegal immigrants, the first people that come to mind are the Mexicans.

Why bother arguing with people that do NOT know right from young. To illegals and their supporters, crashing a border, demand benefits, breed by lemmings and impose an unwelcome way of life is perfectly normal and those that voice their outrage and dissatisfaction are of course, called racists. This is a criminal mentality that will never go away. With Obama , Holder and Napolitano supporting crime/refusing to deal with it, the country is doomed.
