SAN ANTONIO - Two people were killed in an accident at Quintana Road and Cupples early Monday morning.

The accident happened shortly before 1:00 a.m. when police say the driver lost control of a car, and it went off the road. The car went airborne and eventually landed on some train tracks, where it was then hit by an oncoming train.

Officers at the scene said two passengers in the car, a man and a woman identified as 26-year-old April Gonzalez, were killed. The driver of the car, identified as 31-year-old Rosario Padilla, suffered broken bones and was taken to University Hospital.

Was it worth it? How much time did the driver save? Let me guess, the driver was probably inebriated, as the drunks usually walk away from the wrecks with fewer injuries.
