How does a pedestrian get hit by a train? The train has a bright light on the front, they are loud, the tracks start to vibrate when they get close and if the conductor sees the pedestrian they will blast a very loud horn.

Whatever the reason she was walking the tracks, she didn't need to die. This was a very young person, and her life has ended tragically, so lets not pass judgement. A mother has lost a child because of this and it breaks my heart.

There is a reason why it is illegal to be trespassing on railroad property. The engineer at the controls of the train has absolutely no way to stop a train for a pedestrian or a car on the tracks unless they are forewarned. A loaded train weighs hundreds of tons. That mass versus a pedestian is less of a shock than a bug on a windshield. Sorry she died, but there are sidewalks and goat trails to get you where you are going if you are a pedestrain, a railroad track is not a pedestrian thoroughfare.
