SAN ANTONIO -- A 12-year old girl has been arrested for allegedly calling in a bomb threat to a Northside Independent School District school.
According to a Northside ISD spokesperson, Northside ISD police conducted a bomb sweep of the buildings at
Briscoe Middle School early Wednesday morning and increased police presence at the school.
Investigators identified a 7th grade student as the caller, Northside officials said. The girl reportedly admitted making the call and admitted it was a hoax. She was arrested in the school's office.
The school's robo-call system called the parents of the 1,200 students who attend Briscoe Middle School to let them know about the incident.
The girl now faces a felony charge.
