SAN ANTONIO - A 10-year-old boy trying to avoid bedtime called 9-1-1 to tattle on his mother.
"I told him to go to bed and he doesn't want to go to bed. He's like, 'I'm going to call the cops on you.' I said, 'Go ahead'", said Shamayne Rosario, the boy's mother.
Danny Rosario did just, that, then quickly hung up the phone.
That was enough for police to call back and to send an officer over.
"The officer was going to just leave without talking to my son, but I said to him, 'Make this a learning experience for him, and he went and spoke with him.'"
Abusing the 9-1-1 system is a criminal offense, but in this case no charges were filed.
