Window Blinds and Shades

You can save money on your electric and gas bill by simply watching the seasons.

Windows account for about 50 percent of the heat gain or loss in your home, depending on the season. Your heating and cooling systems takes on that extra workload forcing them to work longer and harder.

During the summer, close your blinds to keep heat out, and during the winter, open them up to allow heat in.
