SAN ANTONIO-- Two young San Antonio women have taken on the huge task of rescuing animals they refer to on death row.
Mandy Hall and Sherry Pfau have taken on the heartbreaking challenge of doing whatever they can to save the animals that only have hours or minutes before they will be euthanized at Animal Care Services. They formed the rescue group Paws N Claws to save the animals and find foster homes to eventually be adopted.
Mandy Hall said, “We just realized that there were so many animals dying each day and we figured there was something we could do to give back.”
They work till they find foster homes for all the rescued pets but as a non profit have to rely on sponsors and donors.
Sherry Pfau, “We have to pick which one we can take who we have and right now we are low on fosters and definitely need fosters.”
