SAN ANTONIO - Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman whose nude body was found behind a Northeast Side strip club Tuesday morning.

The body of 33-year-old Brandy Sheppard was discovered shortly before 7:00 a.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of the Paradise for Gentleman club in the 4000 block of North Interstate 35, near Binz-Engleman Road. According to San Antonio Police Chief Bill McManus, it appears she may have been dumped at the location. Chief McManus said there were no visible signs of injuries to Sheppard's body, and it's unclear at this time if she had been sexually assaulted.

Investigators were able to confirm Sheppard was not an employee at the club. McManus says it appears the body had been placed at the site. Investigators will examine surveillance video from the club and from a nearby business.

Authorities say an autopsy was scheduled Wednesday.

What is wrong with people? I hope the police catch the scum that killed this woman. I've got no problem with DNA tests at birth, applying for a driving license, federal or state job application, already required in the military etc....it is only used to identify remains, find missing persons, convict criminals, rule out innocent etc....if you don't do the crime then you don't have to worry about it. It isn't a tracking, surveillance or listening device of big brother.

I agree with DunoNuthin. Collection of DNA indiscriminately is wrong.

correction, @OMGBBQ, convicted. I can be arrested because somebody said I did something. There should be no need for the State to collect my DNA on an accusation, only upon a conviction.

We need a DNA database for everyone that is arrested no matter what the crime was... just in case you do something stupid later on and think you can get away with it....
