SAN ANTONIO -- A man is in the hospital following an accident on the South Side early Wednesday.

The accident happened just after 1:00 a.m. Wednesday on Southwest Military Drive near Altura Avenue. A woman says she was driving in the westbound lane of Southwest Military when another driver came towards her driving the wrong way.  Police say the woman swerved to avoid that car, lost control, and then hit a pole in the parking lot of a Chinese restaurant.

The woman wasn't hurt. Her passenger was taken to a hospital but is expected to be all right.
