Woman struck and killed while crossing street

Walking in the cross walk good for her. And the drivers still coulding avoid hitting her!!! Come on san antonions watch where you drive.

when you are turning left, on the westbound Culebra left turning lane onto the Potranco Road southbound lanes,the Suburban vehicle making the left turn, puts the vehicle right in line of the trajectory path of the victim's second impact. The left turn vehicle lanes are just too close to the intersection's crosswalk as you turn onto Potranco Road. The intersection engineering layout leaves much to be desired. I drive here daily and am familiar to this problem.

So she was in the crosswalk, in a well-lighted intersection. Could neither driver seen the woman before she was struck? If she was struck while crossing from the south side of the street to the north side of the street it appears she was nearly in the middle of the street . . . . how is it the driver of the first vehicle was unable to see her as the crossed from the south side of the street? How could the vehicle in the left turn lane strike the woman AFTER she was knocked into that lane by the first driver?

I am very sorry for the family's loss -- that said, there is not enough information here - were the vehicles speeding, was the person crossing in a crosswalk but against the light- more information is needed before you can blame someone --

So all the hue and cry about jaywalking being the cause of pedestrian deaths and the increased enforcement of jaywalking laws in order to protect pedestrians did nothing to protect this pedestrian, who was crossing at a marked crosswalk. What, exactly, went wrong? Did the pedestrian have a cross signal? Will the city check and determine just how much time a pedestrian is given to cross this very wide, multi-lane street at this pedestrian crosswalk?

Was the victim in another car, motorcycle, walking, jogging? Who is they? Friends, relatives, men from Mars?
