SAN ANTONIO -- A woman is in stable condition after being shot outside a home on La Manda Boulevard.

Police say the woman, who is in her twenties, was standing in the front yard at 11:30 Saturday morning, when a car drove by and someone shot her in the torso.

Neighbors told News 4 the area is typically quiet and said they did not hear gun shots.

SAPD had a chopper in the air looking for a black Cadillac in connection with the shooting, but had not made any arrests.

I'm suspicious. It doesn't say whether or not this was her yard, or if it was somebody else's. I get the impression that it's not her yard, and she was probably out walking up and down the road looking for trouble, and it looks like she found it. Although there is a lot of meanness going on out there, people usually don't get shot for standing in their own yards in broad daylight. I'll bet she was either trespassing on private property, or she is a fallen woman out prowling around on the streets. Either way, I'm sure that God and Jesus are looking down on her with complete disgust, and that a gunshot wound is the least of her worries.
