Woman shot by boyfriend

SAN ANTONIO -- A woman is recovering in the hospital after being shot by her boyfriend Saturday. It happened in the 1100 block of Hedges around 5:30 in the morning. The 28 year old woman told police she left the Battered Women's shelter a few days ago and was trying to work things out with her 35 year old boyfriend. They got into a fight, he pulled out a gun and shot her in the leg several times. The 35 year old fled the scene and the woman was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in stable condition.

@sraspurs - NOBODY deserves to be shot. Yes, she was foolish to try to go back to him, but that doesn't mean it's ok to shoot her or that she deserved what she got. You are the epitome of what San Antonians should NOT believe. There are so many women who have such a low self esteem that they think this is the best they can do. Why not reach out to them and volunteer with the women's centers before making such a callous remark. I pray it never happens to you.

She's an Idiot!! She went back so she got what she deservies! If she had stayed away she would not have been shot! What good came out of her being the womans shelter! None she went back!! Hope they don't help her again!!!

...and next week we are going to see a headline that says this woman was killed when she went BACK AGAIN to go work things out...Some people's children. DO they just NOT get it?! Like, you were already in a stinkin battered women's shelter. WHY do you go back to a man that beats the ba-jesus out of you?

she got what she deserved. the Man was just defending himself. And for that matter, where is the shelter in for men?

but but I love him so much. I know he only beat 37 times but he did not cripple me yet. I want to be with him and if he beats me, i will be ok. I hear this so many times and it is a lost cause to try an fix stupid.
