Wow her facebook....well...it's interesting. Sure won't help her case. Maybe it will be enough to convice a jury to finally convict one of these wrong way drivers. I do have sympathy for people who inadvertantly hurt or kill someone in an honest to goodness mistake/accident (didn't see the stop sign or view is blocked somehow kind of thing). But to drive the wrong way on the highway and hit someone head on while drunk is inexcuseable. You have to be really intoxicated!

Give her the death penalty ! This is out off control with drunk drivers in San Antonio ,who is letting these murderers loose? This city is so backwards with there policies of letting these murderers off so easily , lets start making an example of these murderers , throw them in jail and make them pay whatever the dead person was making in their jobs for the rest of their natural lives , hope her Christmas is as miserable as the victims family , friends from Chicago have heard about our drunk drivers here ,We have a reputation here for it and the nation is laughing at our stupidity with letting these murderers go. Wake up judges and do your job the way it should be done or let me sit on the bench ,I'll handle this problem the way it should be done .

Another intoxicated driver charged with manslaughter. I read and watch so many victims being killed by drunk drivers, but I never read or watch them being tried or sentenced by the system. Are they still driving around until their trials? It is so sad that these drunkards don't care or obey the laws while someone is mourning the victims and loved ones.

Your minivan doesn't exaclty give the impression of wild and single Shauna Ripley. Pretty sure you thought, "I'm only going a short distance, I'm cool to drive." Your Navi system must not have said 'When you can do a U-turn.' AttawaytoeffupsomeonesThanksgiving...

Agree, JoNoes. And this was completely and totally preventable. It was the driver's choice to drink and drive drunk. It may not have been her intent, but it was her choice that led to the murder of an innocent person.
