SAN ANTONIO -- A woman was arrested after she was found asleep behind the wheel of a car on the Northwest Side Friday morning.
Police received a call around 8:00 a.m. Friday concerning a woman who was passed out inside a car at a gas station at Interstate 10 and West Avenue. When officers arrived, they discovered the woman asleep in the driver's seat of a car parked next to a gas pump. The officers woke up the woman, who they said appeared to be intoxicated. Police then searched the woman and the car and found narcotics and a large amount of mail they said appeared to be addressed to various locations in San Antonio.
Investigators called a U.S. postal inspector to the scene to check into the mail found inside the woman's car.
Police confirmed the woman had three felony warrants out for her arrest involving drugs, theft, and "violent use of an ID." The woman was arrested, and police said she was cooperating with investigators.
