SAN ANTONIO -- A woman is facing animal cruelty charges after police say she dragged a dog to death.

The incident happened on Wednesday on Old Highway 90 and Southwest 36th Street. The woman, 44-year-old Herlinda Trigo, was arrested after a witness called police. According to her arrest report, the witness noticed Trigo dragging a dog attached to her truck and repeatedly tried to get her to pull over. The witness said she instead yelled back a profanity indicating she didn't care.

When police caught up with her, she allegedly admitted to dragging the dog and dumping its body.

Police say the dog had just given birth to 10 puppies.

Get that piece of garbage out of our country. It is such a shame we don't have a government anymore that has balls to stop this invasion! To let someone like that here and for us real Americans to pay for her to eat food in jail is just disgusting! Get her out of here! That poor dog deserved our help, not people like that.

Chowarde is right, we need to be at the hearing Aug 8, my phone number is 361 215-8911 if anyone wants to get together. I have her home address if anyone is interested. She has been in and out of jail so many times, this is nothing to her. She will strike again!

she has a court date for aug. 8. i will be there. she has 2 past felonies and several misdemeanors. people like her should not be allowed to have an animal in their household, should not be allowed to be near animals, sort of like sex offenders. their ought to be a law.

Actually part of her prison term should be to scoop the doggy you-know-what for 20 years. With a teaspoon.....

What a piece of trash. Save the tax money and just drag her behind a truck until we can find a place to dump her worhtless body.

greengo. You have a choice to leave San Antonio if it's not your cup of tea. That poor dog did not have a choice.

Heartless "human" being. Classy tat, Trigo...it's a shame the same cannot be done to her, but only until she is within in inches from death so that she can hopefully survive and live the rest of her pathetic life in pain.

Monday I am sending an email out to the heads of animal shelters and whomever else i can think of asking for their help in this matter. I want to see this woman serve time in jail. How would those of us serious about doing something get together? i hope to have answers from humane society people sometime tomorrow afternoon.

I wouldn't be surprised if this woman ran for city council in this 'brown town'.

This lady is pure evil or mentally disturbed. She needs to be mentally evaluated, because if she has children, they will be the next victims of her wrath.
