SAN ANTONIO - Police are trying to find three men who posed as officers and tried to break into an East Side home.

It happened on Talisman Road just before 2 am Thursday morning. Police say a man in the house fought off the suspects with a sword when they tried to steal a TV. The suspects reportedly assaulted the man before leaving.

Police say there were a couple of other break-ins in the area overnight, but don't know if they are related.

I'm kinda like'n metalheads idea. A few really strong deep whacks with a machete and the bad guys stop playing. But being a more practicle type engineer/scientist type, I see really, theres no need to get within grabbing distance of the baddies, so I prefer a quick round or two of #4 buckshot. Or as a second choice, just unholster the trusty Kimber 1911 and pop off a few rounds of .45 ACP hollow points. Then grab the Mr. Clean, a bucket and mop.

All kidding aside, I applaud the homeowner for defending his home as best he could. As far the low life POS' who busted in there, too bad the ninja wasn't packing a Mossberg shotgun, a Sig Sauer pistol or hell even an RG Saturday night special revolver to end you.
