FORT HOOD, Texas - A Fort Hood soldier is recovering after investigators say he was shot twice by his wife.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation said the shooting happened around 10:00 a.m. Thursday at a housing unit on the Army post.

The soldier's wife, a civilian, was taken into custody and is expected to be charged with attempted murder.

The soldier was in stable condition as of Thursday night.
