I don't condone the action of the little girl with the gun, but what about the written threat by the instigating little girl that mama is adamantly defending? All of you want the shooter and the boy who brought the gun expelled, but none of you mention the fact that this little girl was scared. Sure the parent should have notified the school about the letter sooner, and this maybe wouldn't have happened. Instead, the girl was afraid for four days, and finally defended herself. I saw the comment by the mom of the victim on TV, and she's acting like her child is an angel and did nothing wrong. If her child wasm't being a bully, then this would never of happened. So the blame should be on the bully, not the scared child.

This mother and girl are very lucky that the other girl was not more serious. I can not believe the mother could not get the information to the school within 4 days. I would have been at the school the next morning after seeing the letter. Work or whatever else is no excuse for not reacting to that letter with all of the crazy kids out there now.

I think the girl that did the shooting is very mentally disturbed also child welfare should check this family out it seems there is something very wrong at home ,for a child wanting to use a gun against another human being ,and if this kid gets let back in a public school then we need to raise hell and never permit her to come out of her cage, my opinions here.shes a rabid animal in my opinion.

These kids and their parents should face severe punishment ,the kids for their stupidity and the parents for doing such a bad job of raising their children ,I'm betting by the time they are in high school they'll be making hit lists and using real bullet guns , just my opinion ,as for the child hit hope you are okay and hope your parents sue the boy and girls parents for this take them for everything they have ,again my opinions here .

If I was this childs mother all h3ll would be breaking loose on that little thug and her family. To me if she's willing to pull the trigger on a BB gun then what's to say she won't do it with a .40cal or other caliber when she gets older? There would be assult charges and parents being taken to court, not just 3 days suspension and alternative school. Set that little thug straight now.

I feel for the 2 Girls as My Wife & I are dealing with the same Issues envolving my son. Hope the school system does what it has to do and not be "Pollitically Correct". WOAI ... Please get it right an Airsoft (Orange Tip to ID it) IS NOT a BB/PELLET GUN (Some of these can be Deadly)!!! Typical reporting ... get your FACTS RIGHT before it goes Public.

And what supervision/guidance does this boy have that he thinks it's okay to take an Airsoft BB gun to school? We had cap guns as children but certainly knew better than to take them to school! Heaven couldn't have helped us when our mother found out! Sounds like the girl who acquired this "gun" needs more than a "time out"...
