Two people hit while crossing street

Police said the pair was trying to cross South W. W. White Road near Lakewood Drive when they were hit.

I am sorry but when you fail to cross in a designated crosswalk, you take a chance of being hit. I'm not saying people deserve to be hit, but they should certainly not expect folks to feel sorry for them.
