SAN ANTONIO -- Two men are recovering at an area hospital after they were shot outside a well-known San Antonio restaurant overnight.

The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday on the Northeast Side.

Investigators say the men and two women were on a patio at Chacho's and Chalucci's in the 8600 block of Perrin Beitel when two men approached them.

Witnesses told officers an argument broke out and one of the suspects pulled a gun and shot the two victims. Both men were taken to Brooke Army Medical Center for treatment and are expected to be okay.

Police are now searching for the gunman.

NE side...remember Windsor Park Mall? that was a nice mall...in 2005 it served as a shelter for Hurricane Katrina victims. Chachos-the hangout.

I DON'T speed at NIGHT in the RAIN with my windshield wipers OFF, FOR THE SAME REASON I DON'T GO TO Chaco's at 1:30am!

I live on the NE side......the eastsiders have just about taken over, if you know what I mean. North central is the only place to move to these days. Sad, but true

i used to go to chachos and get a few drinks after dance lessons coming from Semeneya ballroom. but chaochos is so so ghetto now.

You can shut this place down but the scum that goes there just for the purpose of starting trouble will simply move on and contaminate another place. I say leave it open so they can congregate there and SAPD can just go and pick up the pieces after they do each other. These maggots spread worst than cancer.

Looks like BAMC is getting quite alot of bullet victims. It used to be Wilford Hall getting the victims but everything is shifting NE. So why do we need a health care bill when we already have a free health care plan in place here in SA.

Warrior007 is correct. The city should rename that part of town..Lil' Katrina and remain Chachos to "Meals to Die for". I am really surprised that the SAPD and SAFD don't try to have the city shut the place down!
