huntingislegal, I didn't intend to ruffle your feathers by calling our visitors "our" deer. So, in that case, can I send the State of Texas a bill for all the shrubbery they eat while they're visiting? Take a deep breath and blow it out slowly :) Ahhh, doesn't that feel better?

I am literally LOL here at work. These comments are almost as hilarious as these two boneheads that got caught. Just what I needed to get my afternoon going here. Thanks for the laughs you all. Keep 'em coming!! Happy Holidays to you and yours. Thanks again.

Those two are lucky that they got the buck. At eleven points it could have and would have inflicked major damage if he (the buck) had thought they were going after one of his does. Hmmm, looks like we have a self-defense case here.

MAJOR CORRECTION NEEDED!!! These men were idiots and breaking the law by POACHING. They were not illegally hunting deer. It is NOT illegal to hunt. If you are not following the laws then you are POACHING. Most of all, it is NOT illegal to hunt in the city limits of San Antonio!!!!!!!!!! This was erroniously stated on the 10pm news 11/23/12. Also, Texann - they are not "your" deer. They actually belong to the state of Texas and all the taxpayers within the state. To be considered hunting legally you have to follow federal, state, county, and municipal laws. For example, right now it is deer season in the state of Texas, and in Bexar county. No federal or city of San Antonio laws govern deer hunting, therefore if someone posseses all the proper hunting licenses, own land or have landowner permission, They CAN hunt deer in the city limits of San Antonio. Is there a catch? YES, by city ordinance it is illegal to discharge a firearm. So can I still hunt deer? Yes again, with a bow and arrow or cross bow it would ABSOLUTELY be legal within the city limits of San Antonio. News 4 needs to get this correct!!! Feel free to call and ask any Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden.

We frequently have several deer in our front yard. A young buck jumps the fence into the back yard and lays next to our storage building. We live in that area...I hope it wasn't one of "our" deer! There's a doofus born every minute. Here are two of them to prove it.

Actually, you can't kill the King's Deer, it's punishable by death. The merry men of the forest will be hunted down by King John's sheriff.....the Sheriff of Nottingham. Talk about modern day parallels.

How stupid do you have to be to hunt deer in the Medical Center? Honestly, I think this story takes the cake! Thank heaven they weren't trying out their deer rifle!
