San Antonio--He was once the top cop in Helotes, now he’ll be spending the next six-months in jail.
Former Helotes Police Chief Morton Ault was sentenced to eight years deferred adjudication probation for running a scheme that involved $33,000 in police car repairs. Ault was also ordered to pay the city back for the repairs.
The 22-year veteran of the force could have been sentenced to eight years in prison.
