SAN ANTONIO -- You can't see it or smell it but some unsuspecting homeowners are being exposed to the toxic drug methamphetamine. Sometimes the drug is even inside your home before you and your family move in.
Toxic chemicals are used in the process of making methamphetamine and the vapors released can become absorbed into building walls, ceilings and even carpet and paint.
If a home isn't properly cleaned, the chemicals may not go away and can even make some people sick.
Exposure to the harsh chemicals used to make meth can cause respiratory problems, skin irritations, severe headaches and it's even been linked to cancer.
Right now 22 states have strict meth disclosure regulations. Texas is currently not one of those states.
