SAN ANTONIO - A teenager is accused of impersonating a police officer after he tried out some strobe lights on his truck.

Police say 18-year-old Alfonzo Martinez purchased lights at a local flea market and turned them on while driving near Interstate 35 and Southcross around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. At least 2 drivers stopped for Martinez because the lights were flashing on his black F-150. Witnesses told police Martinez drove past them after they pulled over to the side of the road.

An off-duty officer spotted what was happening and called it in on his radio. Martinez was arrested a short time later near the Downtown area and has since been charged with impersonating a public servant.
