SAN ANTONIO -- SAISD has had to develop a policy on how teachers use social media and texting.

The policy is in reaction to an elementary school teacher who reportedly texted with a student.

The teacher taught 4th grade at Woodlawn Elementary School.

A district spokesperson says the teacher resigned last week after parents of a 5th grade student reported she was texting with their son.

The Express-News reports the 34-year-old texted things like "u suck."

Parents at Woodlawn say they've heard nothing and want answers.
