SAN ANTONIO -- Police say a suspected drunk driver was driving the wrong way when he crashed his car into a Suburban on the Southeast Side late Monday night.

Police say 43-year-old Darrin Clark was driving a Lincoln Town Car the wrong way on East Southcross near Pecan Valley around midnight when he slammed into a Chevrolet Suburban driven by 45-year-old Paul Valdez Jr.

An officer who was dispatched to the accident scene detected a faint odor of alcohol on Clark. A mandatory blood draw was done, but no charges have been filed yet.

Both Clark and Valdez were taken to the hospital for their injuries.
