SAN ANTONIO -- A suspected car thief was arrested after police say he led them on a chase Monday afternoon.

Officers saw the man throw something out a car window shortly after noon on Monday and decided to pull him over. Instead of stopping, however, he sped off and led them on a short chase on Interstate 35. When traffic got heavy, the suspect exited the highway at Judson Road and was finally pulled over at Judson and Gunn Road.

The car the man was driving turned out to be stolen. Officers found forgery equipment used for make vehicle registrations inside the vehicle.
