PLEASANTON, Texas -- The teen suspected of shooting and killing Former Atascosa County Commissioner Tommy Shearrer was found dead Friday.

The Atascosa County Sheriff's Office confirmed the body of 19-year-old Manuel De Los Reyes Galeas was spotted in a creek bed Friday afternoon by a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter crew who were conducting another search of the area where Shearrer's body was found.

It's believed Galeas died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Officials said a pistol that belongs to one of his family members was found near his body.

Authorities had been searching for Galeas since Wednesday after Shearer was found shot to death inside his truck. Galeas was also wanted in connection with another shooting during which he allegedly fired shots at his 15-year-old ex-girlfriend's house in Bexar County early Wednesday morning.

FDNY1983 - You are jumping to assumptions. At that age (or any other) it is possible to have a girlfriend without actually engaging in intercourse... Maybe he wanted to, but she didn't, and that's why he shot at her... guess we won't know the whole story.

He did everyone a favor. Saved tax payer money and spared the family from a trial.

That is not justice,do we have evidence that he was the shooter?Evidence that he actually shot himself? We pay for all the free loaders and dead beets to get there food stamps every month,we house and pay for free meals for all the other abusers, drug addicts, thieves, child molesters.Where's the justice in that?Do we hunt them down, well no!Yes, supposedly he shop a prominent citizen, would the case been any different if he would of shot an everyday person?
